Hi, I’m Jo Bregazzi here at Jo Bregazzi Cosmetic and Medical Permanent Makeup & Medical Aesthetics and 

I’m also the founder and lead trainer at Jo Bregazzi and The SKARBLEND® Academy, where I specialise in training, mentoring and empowering new practitioners with new skills, that I have researched, trialled, tested and developed over the last 14 years.

I’m an experienced registered nurse, qualified and licensed medical tattooist, permanent makeup practitioner, artist and designer. I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct, ensuring patient safety.

I have also been a trainer for Natural Enhancement UK Ltd in London.

I’ve specialised in medical tattooing, particularly in scar reduction treatments and scar camouflage for 14 years.


I’ve found that I use my nursing skills and experience every day in my practice, from working within head and neck surgery, plastics, breast care, wound care and dermatology. I’ve literally spent my whole adult life working with patients, clients, students, wounds and skin!


I’m also a researcher at heart and rather than go on lots of different courses learning second hand, what other people have learnt from elsewhere, I prefer to quietly trial, test, develop, evaluate and test again, my own techniques and formulas…obviously all with patient consent.

I have realised that much of what I have learnt in courses over the years just doesn’t work long term or give the best results, so I have painstakingly tested serums, inks, combinations of techniques in thousands of different scars and so now I specialise in working with very complex, fragile or reactive scarring and darker skin tones.

I’m also a medico-legal expert witness for legal cases regarding medical tattooing and permanent makeup for solicitors with the UK.
My ethos is to teach what I know really works and not just what I’ve been told works.
I test, check and double check everything.
My courses are therefore designed to share as much of my nursing and medical experience as I possibly can, to enhance students understanding of why they are practising and working on the skin in a certain way, how to be safe for their clients and how to protect themselves from litigation.
